Who it's for · Societies

Your fixture list, but people talk about it afterwards.

A society runs a season of days, often across several venues, on a captain's spare time. CourseSide turns a fixture into the day the members bring up at the next one: every group on the screen, the claims live, and each member's own round back on their phone that evening.

The captain

Everything the captain used to do, crossed out.

The person who organised the day gets to be at it.

The society day, before

  • Print the cards and hand them out
  • Chase the stragglers to the first tee
  • Wait four hours with nothing to watch
  • Collect the cards at the bar
  • Find a calculator and work out the handicaps
  • Argue about countback
  • Read the results off a scrap of paper
  • Try to remember who won longest drive

The society day, now

  • Check-in is a tap as members collect their trackers
  • The field ticks green on the screen as it arrives
  • Every group on the map, the room watching
  • The cards go in on the course, one per group
  • Handicaps and Stableford worked out as they land
  • Countback settled by the board, in the open
  • Results read straight off the big screen
  • Longest drive claimed at the marker, in the app

The room

The clubhouse has something to watch.

The early finishers and the ones still waiting to go out, facing a screen with every member on the map and a ticker with opinions.

A close crop of the live course map: every player marked individually, the leading team crowned, and one player drifted into the trees.

By the turn the room has picked a side. With two cards still out, it walks to the last green to watch the finish. That has never happened at an ordinary society day.

The memory

Every member takes their day home.

That evening every member's phone buzzes with their own day: the walk on the course map, the numbers, the moments, the holes where their card carried the team, and a share card built for the group chat.

The share card made for the group chat: Team Osbourne won it, 82 points, and Tom Osbourne carried the back nine.

Selling your holes?

If the holes do not sell, we bring the partners.

Every partner on your day gets a hole the room is watching, a name in the ticker every time their hole makes a moment, and a place in every player's report that evening. That is a far easier thing to sell than a board by a tee, and it usually covers what the day costs to run.

Sell what you can, with our material. Hand us what is left and we place partners from our regional directory of businesses looking for days to back.
