Now taking bookings for the 2027 season. The first CourseSide days go out in spring. Hold a date →

For players

Turn up, clip on, play.

Your organiser is running the day with CourseSide. Here is what that means for you: nothing to set up in advance, a tag the size of a key fob, a score entered on a phone, and your own round back that evening. Everything else is golf.

  1. 01

    Before the day

Your tee time comes to you by email from the day itself. If your captain sends you a link, use it to add your name, your handicap and where to send your report. That is the only homework. Nothing to download unless you want to.

  2. 02

    When you arrive

Pick up a tag with your scorecard. Clip it on and forget it: it is what puts you on the map in the clubhouse. Scan the code at the desk, put your name in, and your group is on the day. No account, no password.

  3. 03

    On the course

One card per group, and any one of you can keep it in the app. Strokes, putts, sand and penalties in; the points are done for you. It keeps working with no signal and catches up the moment there is some.

  4. 04

    The claim

Walk past the longest drive marker in range and the claim button lights up. One thumb, move the marker to your ball, and the clubhouse knows. If someone takes it off you, you hear about it in the room, out loud, the way it should be.

  5. 05

    That evening

A link by text and email: your walk on the course map, your numbers, your moments, the holes where your card carried the team, and a card for the group chat. Yours to keep, and only shared if you share it.

What is on your phone

Three screens. That is the whole app.

The group's shared card on an iPhone 15 Pro: strokes, putts, sand and penalties for all four players, the team's best two counting.
The card

One per group

Whoever has the pencil keeps it. Every entry is saved and audited, so nothing is lost and nothing is argued about at the bar.

The longest drive claim on a Google Pixel 7: in range at the 10th, four yards past the holder, one gold button.
The claim

Made at the marker

The button only lights up in range. Claim it, and walk back in not quite knowing whether you are still top of it.

The full Afterwards report on an iPhone 15 Pro: the walk on the course map, points, putts and sand saves, your moments, and the hold-my-spot close.
The report

Lands the same evening

Your day, replayed. Not a PDF of a scorecard: the most engaging scorecard you will ever receive.

What you do not need

Things you can stop worrying about.

  • An account or a password. Scan the code, put your name in.
  • Your battery. The tag does the tracking. Your phone only carries the card, and only one phone per group needs to.
  • Signal. The card is kept on the phone and syncs when it can. The tag talks to receivers on the course, not the phone network.
  • The ticker. It has a sense of humour, and it is warm, never mocking. If you would rather it left you alone, tell your organiser and it will.
  • Your privacy. Your name and score are on the clubhouse screen for the day, like any scoreboard. Your report is a private link nobody can find from the day's follow link.

While you play

The clubhouse is watching.

Every player is on the map on the big screen, and a ticker calls the day as it happens. Whether the standings show in the app is the organiser's call; the clubhouse always has them, so the finish belongs to the room.
